This research is useless and nearly all other LLM research is too.

gpt 5.2 is the strongest model they tested, a nearly 6 month old model.

Traditional research can not keep up.

The threat of radiation is severely overblown.

NASA is overpaying for underperforming "hardened" hardware that performs no better than non-hardened. You can see this yourself with the mars helicopter ingenuity.

If you are desperate for extra safety then just include multiple computers, literally what spacex does.

This video is what got me into homelabbing, grabbed a n150 mini-pc and got jellyfin and the whole suite installed.

Tailscale + copyparty allowing seamless transfer of files between my phone and pc was the biggest qol i never knew i needed.
