LLMs are definitely a game changing technology, but there is just so much fake money in the market right now (circular deals, paper valuations, etc.) that I cannot take this seriously. At some point the musical chairs will stop and we will all be saying how could we let this happen? Where are the regulators (rhetorical question)?

Aside from the AI writing the blog itself seems to have a false timeline. It says there are posts from April 2017, but the domain has only been up for a year. There is all of this promotion about books, podcasts, volunteering to support the author.

What is this about?

The school does not take responsibility. Schools will tell you what you kid does at home is the parent's responsibility even if it is done on the school device. Parents do not have the ability to configure the content controls on the device itself, so technically sophisticated parents resort to tweaking router settings.

What makes rich people special is that they have things normal people do not have. They have material wealth with which they can derive power. They don't want to share it now and they won't in the future. Do you really think that these people who have spent so much time and effort hoarding their wealth want to share it with everyone? I am not sure why you see "One Battle After Another" as preachy. It was ultimately a chase movie, perhaps you did not like the intent of the revolutionaries who kicked off the chase, but there was no lecturing as far as I could tell. All of the characters were flawed and broken. Moments where characters could do the "right thing" many ended up doing things out of self interest. The movie was deeply cynical and piercing critique on radicalism left and right.

The movie also has a metacritic score of 95, so you are objectively wrong.

How many more articles are we going to see with the headline AI facial recognition leads to innocent person jailed? A grandmother no less.

Some tech company illegally scanned people's photos on social media and now is using them with our complicit legal system to randomly put people behind bars. Now I need to worry that any day now due to a dice roll I will be sent away in a the middle of f'ing nowhere for months or years. Now the government wants to use these same dumb systems to make automated killing machines. FML!

I see a lot of comments trying to attribute blame to the cops, the lawyers, the police chief, the marshals, the tech bros, etc, but it is all of them and all of us that are guilty. We are so complicit in this sick system we live in. We are stuck in a collective action deadlock.

That fear you have in the back of your mind that says next time it might be you is counteracted by the thought "well thank goodness it wasn't me or a loved one," so you don't act. We are all doing this, that is why nothing changes.

The only people able to act these days are the most insane. The narcissistic corrupt power hungry politician, the psychopathic tech bro billionaire, and the jacobins are the only ones with the energy wade through this cesspool and that is why everything is so dystopian.

Minorities don’t just get social security. People don’t get social security if they don’t work or don’t have a spouse who worked. They pay in to the system via payroll taxes. With UBI who is going to pay into that? UBI just seems like a pipe dream.

And what is? AI slop? There is no objective purpose to any of this, all of it is preference.

I prefer that people have a way to express themselves in a way that gives them subjective meaning, maybe a bullshit job is a good enough solution.
