HSBC pressure you into using the app and I don't think there is a way back to the battery powered OTP device. At least not that I know in the UK. I resisted until the battery failed and they basically make you go into the branch and then plead why you can't use a smartphone. got sick of this dance after 3 years

I think it's equally likely a windows update breaks a family owned computer and the solution isn't clear to them eg reinstall drivers directly from Vendor.

I'd also rgue Mint is easier to navigate than Windows with it's 3+ different context menus and baked in ads.

seems to only support two distros :- Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon or Zorin OS 18.1 Core. Any support for others?

I was looking for something like this, but would love if it had CV formatted doc. I just want something easy to update, but easier to version control Vs docx.

I like it! is there a way to use both virt-manager and virsh with this or do we have to pick one. I'd be keen to migrate my VMs to this compose based system if it was a simple import job.

I think this is great, I've wanted some sort of docker on android system and this does the job quite nicely all wrapped up in an apk. So there is definitely space for this in the current ecosystem. The new terminal built into android crashes whenever I try booting it up.

Using an external webcam is that not more than $1? cool project though; reminds me of how you could use a Wii remote to create a interactive whiteboard.

made something with vibe assistance, for generating ebooks from the guardian.com.

the approach here is to self host a web service and download the books from the experimental browser as .mobi for kindle use. These are then fully local and easy to delete after. https://github.com/tomesparon/guardian-rss-mobi-maker

There's an experimental android version too which is more than aseprite offers. For the basics libresprite is a great entry into pixel art

I had a go at finding a launcher that suits my preferences, and ended up back to square 1, the native launcher on Samsung Oneui. the killer feature is stackable widgets so you can reduce the real estate used for each one.

That said,my other top picks are : Lawnchair +Lawnicons YAM Launcher (foss and minimal) Fossify launcher beta (bare bones typical launcher).

I feel like if the platform is unwilling to give you access to books you posted for, you should be able to download them from arrr without authors or publishers being affected financially - buy first pirate later.

Interesting, I've not heard of this one before. Most of the emulation community has settled on 'Winlator' as the main android windows emu of choice. Before this it was Exagear, but winlator is easier to get started with. Another route is using proof termux with a DE like xfce and connecting with X but not sure how good this setup is for pure gaming performance, but may be a good option for Dev work.

I'd be interested in a mobile video editor that is capable and open source. There really is a lack of open source video tools - at least for Android!
