I don't understand (possibly because I lack Angular experience): what is it about a .NET backend using HTMX that requires presentation concerns to be mixed with business logic?

Don't you have to maintain that separation either way? Your core/application logic shouldn't know how its result is ultimately represented. That could be JSON or HTML over HTTP, Protobuf over a TCP stream, or a custom binary protocol over a Unix socket.

Obviously those representations matter at the presentation/transport boundary, but why should choosing HTML force that concern into the business logic?

This is one of my favorite games. I love how while it has a "spiritual" theme, the mechanics feel like pure deduction/scientific method.

We are in the realm of opinion, so I want to offer a contrasting one. We had a great time with it, and yes, it was a one-off thing. The scenarios are about $15 a pop which compared to taking the same group of friends to a movie is a bargain. (and MUCH more engaging, imo) It is like a multi-player point and click adventure with light roleplaying elements. I don't know if it should have won the SDJ, but then again, it didn't. :)

EDIT: added more specific description of what I liked about it, in an attempt to up the quality of my comment.

Im sure those snake oil supplements he peddles on there make you smarter too. /s =P

EDIT: I was just halfway joking when I made this comment (I vaguely knew that he sold supplements for body building)... However, I had no idea about the "Alpha Brain" supplement that he sells. And yes, the punchline is that he claims it provides "cognitive enhancement". And No.. there is no solid science behind it and certainly no doubleblind clinical trials. I only know to care about stuff like this from listening to other podcasts such as "This week in microbiology" and "Skeptoid" that perhaps did make me smarter. (at least I don't fall for supplement scams)

Boiling time is a function of air pressure, not strictly elevation. Of course if the airplanes you fly on are not pressurized then you are correct.

I think it is funny, Conway doesn't really enjoy being solely associated with GOL and the fame it brings[0].. In stark contrast with Wolfram's ego. Perhaps this arrangement actually works out best for both of them.

If you hit ctrl-c then you are no longer in insert mode (ctrl-c acts like esc for some reason), so no, it won't add anything to the buffer and ":q" will get you out.

I don't blame people for being confused though.. I remember getting stuck in vim all the time back in the day because of a default $EDITOR value.

This was my exact thought. Who cares if in the end its all just a contrived game. In reality, any 10 year old with less than an hr of training and a firearm could "win" a fight against a black belt of whatever.
