There's a retail tool that lets you get a lot more memory below 1MB. 639K (625K free) conventional, 262K upper (177K free).
If you remember seeing how, you'll get a free virtual cookie.

I'm worried about that but also feel like GPL 4 needs an anti-AI clause. I don't want code I'm written fed into a machine that writes code that doesn't respect user freedom.

I did that. Unfortunately you'd have your stereo blasting, right? And then the second you upload it somewhere you'll get a copyright infringement notice and they mute the audio. Thanks Facebook.

Oh yes the field of vision is very bad! I liked to take snapshots out when with my wife, and I'd turn my head and she wouldn't even be in the field of view.
You have to turn your head 180 degrees like an owl and have them dead centre in front of the camera side to get them on film.

I have the original model and they're fun, if not super expensive. Unfortunately the audio quality is some of the worst you can have; if there's ANY external noise you can't hear any of your music playing at all.
This one says the audio is improved but I'd have to hear it before splurging again.
I had read that bone-conducting audio is better so I'm a bit disappointed to see that this one doesn't have that.

I’ll take some blame for $226m.
What you’ve said is nonsensical. Being the victim of some harsh words forgotten the next day while never having to work another day in your life is not any kind of responsibility.

So just don’t be one of the vanishingly small paid users who this affects. Easy.
I wonder what vanishingly small is. 0.001% of a million is still thousands.

The company is unethical garbage that relies on customer management being too lazy to sue them for not completing contracts.
They lie and treat their employees like garbage.
And their employee technical skill is typically less than a warm body from the street. Less than a dead body from the street.
I still feel sad for the people who lost their jobs. They know who they’re working for though.

ITT: Lots of people feigning ignorance about how companies work, or have literally never worked for a large company before.
And hilariously thinking Microsoft would spin up a critical incident team for a free open-source product. I'm rolling on the floor laughing.

Companies like this drop-ship new laptops to new employees.
The laptops everyone has are COVID-era and about to expire for warranty, and would just be binned anyway. So there is no point taking them back.

A lot of companies have teams dedicated to hardware that don’t give a shit about it. And their managers don’t give a shit.
Then the people under them who do give a shit, because they depend on those servers, aren’t allowed to register with HP etc for updates, or to apply firmware updates, because “separation of duties”.
Basically, IT is cancer from the head down.

Yeah I mean for starters the author appear to have been rich as hell from the very beginning. I’m sure that helps soothe the sting of being an “outsider”.
But I decided not to take the article personally because they’re not claiming something universal about outsiders.
