I really don't think they can. I feel like if I rush a PR using AI, I can only just kinda hope the AI is good enough that my trust isn't misplaced. It becomes slightly less likely to be bad if you add a thorough AI review on top but it's just rolling the dice.

Had a similar experience getting a niche app running under wine. The bot had to bring in a different open source renderer, patch dlls, adapt a mapping tool from a different chip architecture to partly map and modify the binary, crazy stuff. Alternatives exist but are expensive, this got it working in an hour when doing it myself would probably be 2 weeks.

When there are other things we could be spending effort on that don't entail mass surveillance, why are you so interested in it being done with AI cameras? Besides, it's still only reactive. You'll still have criminals but you'll catch them a bit more often. You're not addressing the root issues that cause crime.

I think that the point is simply that the casting failed at the implicit goal of being in some way progressive (and was probably a marketing stunt). Who cares if French people would be fine with a homogeneous movie? It was made in America.

This didn't read at all as "I could have done it better" and there's no way for any one person to create that movie, so of course she couldn't have done it better. Every single criticism of any kind will read as "I could have done it better" because the criticism points out flaws in the thing.

Ai will fall apart as an industry but it's likely that models on par with e.g. opus 4.8 will be runnable on a home server within the next year and a half and that model hosts will still exist. I figure these tools aren't likely to go away.

I don't think the majority here work for ai companies and I also see a lot of people critical of AI and copyright violations by ai companies. They're also very clearly different things, one is done on a massive scale by a company for profit and another is done by one person to use the work in the way it was intended to be used.

I'm not gonna buy the book as an alternative you know. If I'm pirating a book it's usually because I can't really afford to go buying the books I'm interested in. Sometimes if I love a book I'll get a physical copy so I can finish it in a more comfortable format and so I'll have it for another read. I figure most people who pirate are pretty similar, so I wouldn't expect an outsized effect on book sales. Add to that the fact that books by people who are literally dead still have copyright. That has nothing to do with it being hard to write a book, cause I don't think their fucking estate wrote the book.

I don't generally get why tests are designed to rush a student. Is speed a proxy for understanding?
