Just run your llm in a container with the tools it needs. It makes your pc more secure by removing the risk of doing something destructive to your computer and the llm can do llm. Also, llms ssh'ing to the outside world? Asking for trouble later on

I don't have node running on my pc, I either put it in a container or i don't use it.

Software that is mostly an electron app. I start using my browser for a web edition, or run it in a container/sandbox!

Already use imagepipe [0] since forever, sometimes it takes soms extra time, still worth the effort. Most of the time I take a picture share with imagepipe, share with external and don't share anything else

I will never share my location via images with anybody then myself. I do use location for my local Photoprism on my own server

I am a little angry with these kind of write-ups where they point a lot at others (bad actors, malicious traffic) instead of admitting a problem in the software. I cannot imagine that you piss of somebody that much that this actor will only focus on one piece of your platform (again and again)

I've done many large database migrations which involved adding or removing indexes which included full table locking and they often lead to (accounted) downtime.

My honest take on this...

Most probably their regular user signup just wasn't protected well enough with captcha or CSRF and created some background processes that piled up on tables lacking some indexes which finally became a visible bottleneck.

They assumed bad traffic, so took the wrong turn. (WAF)

After they "implemented a fix" which should add an index to a large table that took down the database server because of table locking. This also doesn't recover after an abort.

Next up, UPGRADE OUR DB SERVER, and db table cache is gone, hence disabling user logging to allow to get a warm start. Didn't work, DOWNGRADE OUR DB SERVER, same thing repeats.

The car was at least be locked and have windows closed. In this case, it was an unlocked car with doors and windows open.

I use Zen everyday and a love it! I am glad they chose Firefox as a base, otherwise I would have skipped it. Firefox is stable, I open it when I boot my PC which runs for weeks and never think anything about it. On topic of ad blocking, I think that there are more ways to anoy users using ad blockers today despite of which browser someone uses, with ad block detection and blocking access. If your browser is build by a ad company, expect these changes. For this reason I won't use these browsers

I think it's shootings in general [1] went up last couple of years. Could it be that there is just more awareness last couple of years so the recorded listings will up?

I would say, any shooting is one too many. I don't life in the US but I think it has nothing todo with politics.
