Your clipboard has a memory. And it's smarter than you think.
Every day you copy hundreds of things. Passwords. Code snippets. Quotes. Links. Configurations. Responses. Most clipboard managers save them. MemoryPasta understands them.
This is semantic search for your clipboard history. It finds what you copied three weeks ago by meaning, not keywords. Your entire clipboard becomes searchable intelligence.

Hello,
I am a F1 student, about to graduate in December 2023. I recently started getting anxious looking at the job market/layoffs/hiring freeze. How to deal with it?
I am a graduate student from a decent university, academically very strong, have 2 years work experience back in my home country. I have done summer and fall internship as well as a software engineer. I still am getting job rejections/no reply backs from the company where I have applied to. :((((

Hey guys,
What are the ways/softwares to remove background from images?
Let's say, we have a set of images of an object from which we want to remove background. Automated would be a +1.

Fantasy of becoming a hacker made me google things up. Probably, my father also motivated me a lot, who himself is an engineer.
There were a lot of things that made me curious, and alas, I learned things myselves. I would give not all but a significant credit to academia as well.

Ok. First, let me introduce myself.
I am a master's student in Computer Science, in US. I had a lecture on speech recognition today in my machine learning class. It was a good lecture and mostly focused on first principles and basic concepts related to learning speech recognition. Then comes the devil, neural networks jargon, and architecture(LSTM, RNN, Transformers). Till now, all these things make sense to me.
I came back home and gave a thought to everything I learned today. My question is why did we study first principles(like phonetics, n-grams, and all) when deep learning models and all are able to learn patterns themselves. In technical terms, my question is how do we interpret problems, mathematical modeling, and intuition derived from first principles and models in terms of deep learning models and architecture? Because mathematical intuition behind deep learning models looks completely different to me. So, is it just the game of input-output-losses? If possible, if anyone can give me a very classic example of how did you conclude what the deep learning model would look like?
I would ask this question my professor next week. But HN is kind of my professor, so asking here. :P
Thanks!!!

Everyone might have this dilemma at some point of time, in which you have some project ideas that you would like to work upon. All project ideas are close to heart( like you really want to work upon those). But how to evaluate which idea should you work upon? How do successful founders/entrepreneurs come to a decision like this is my thing and I am going to work upon this?
