Until another standard similar to what the article is suggesting becomes widely implemented in standard libraries then uuid isn't going anywhere, although in principle I agree with many of the arguments presented.

I may just not really be the target demo, or maybe am just a huge idiot, but I struggle to see the appeal, especially when you hear about the occasional horror stories about complex and/or broken environments, or the vim-like overhead to learn it properly.

Spotify have been continually reducing their offering since inception. This reminds me of when they stopped supporting Djay, a djay software where you could mix spotify tracks. It was genuinely a super useful bit of kit.

Instead their devs waste time on useless features and UI rewrites that they have to go back and re-add old features to and never seem to optimise for performance.

- go over the lecture material yourself a few days after for every lecture

- start studying for the exam 2 months before but only for an hour or two a day. By the time the exam rolls around you will be so well versed you can take a few days off before the exam

It's hard to do but will make your college experience way less stressful.

I agree to some extent but moreso, I think it heavily favours those with a theoretical CS background, which means effectively you are favouring candidates from top colleges in a round about way.

Right now you're charging nearly as much as something like Netflix, so your product has to be nearly a Netflix' worth's more value than DuckDuckGo (rather than Google as it's closer to your value proposition) for me to rationally justify the price.
