I wonder if Amazon's differing pricing by region is just an Amazon business problem or whether it applies to regular consumers as well. If the latter is the case, how does camelcamelcamel.com keep track of pricing?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's in the cloud and not local. Still useless to me.
I use AI all the time when coding (very useful) and ChatGPT in general is also very useful. Never found Windows co-pilot or Office co-pilot useful for anything.

This happened to me in the U.S. too. Family plan went from $99/yr to $129/yr. I was going to just going to resentfully accept this, when I just got annoyed and said, "you know what? we don't use word and excel enough to justify this and there are definitely alternatives." Only when I went to cancel did I find out that they tried to force me onto the $129 "with AI" plan (who actually thinks AI features are worth anything? I've never used them in office or really any MS product) and that the "without AI" plan is still $99.
I decided to cancel anyway because I was still resentful.
Thing is, either $99 or $129 for the Family plan is actually quite reasonable, our family has 5 users. I just don't like giving money to deceitful or disrespectful companies.
If Microsoft had just kept the pricing the same as they had for many years, I almost certainly would have re-subscribed.

For me, a really annoying tick in Cursor is how it often says "Perfect!" after completing a task, especially if it completely fails to execute the prompt.
So I told Cursor, "please stop saying 'perfect' after executing a task, it's very annoying." Cursor replied something like, "Got it, I understand" and then I saw a pop-up saying it created a memory for this request.
Then immediately after the next task, it declares "Perfect!" (spoiler: it was not perfect.)

If I recall, I think the same thing is going to happen to the Microsoft Edge browser, which is built on chromium, which is a real shame because this could've been a point of differentiation for them. Windows has always asked me to switch from Chrome to Edge without giving me a compelling reason. This would have been a compelling reason.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I remember Nuance used to be quite litigious, using its deep patent collection to sue startups and competitors. I'm not sure if this is still the case now that they're owned by Microsoft, but you may want to look into that.

I use both, about 50/50. I have a windows desktop and a mac laptop. Perhaps that's why I have difficulty adjusting because I am switching between the two. But I find the windows approach more intuitive since I use a combination of chrome web apps in separate browser windows and desktop apps, I don't like having to think about what type of windows switching I need to do, I just want to switch windows.
