Nothing against American ingenuity, but when situations like this occur, quality often declines for a time. The process may be replicated from its original source, but the key difference lies in the workers’ experience—something the Chinese have already mastered.

It’s natural for Vercel to have a strong influence on the project. That’s what happens when a framework grows large and fragmented without a defined board, group, or leadership focused on both short- and long-term goals. At least now, with the foundation in place, there are additional voices to help guide the project rather than letting it move entirely in line with Vercel’s direction.

No doubt the industry suffered due to a market downturn, but your continuous posts and attacks worsened the situation for that company. Based on your Reddit activity, it appears to have been driven by a personal vendetta. If they pursue a defamation case, the evidence could strongly work against you. The overwhelming proof he presented of your actions toward the company would be difficult to defend. I honestly can’t understand why anyone would risk their own reputation—and that of their family—for dishonest gain. Most people are civil in such cases, but not everyone is if they conclude that evil was done. Scary situation to be in.

It’s still too expensive. Their voices are very similar to Disney voices in quality; not surprising since they recently worked with them.
With such a potential backing, their margins are probably going to actors voices and rights; thus why it’s expensive.
Chatterbox an open source free version is very close. Hume ai is a close second and much more affordable. OpenAI tts is also 10x cheaper.

One major obstacle to grasping high-level abstractions and their implementations lies in poorly designed systems or language limitations. At this stage, any human-produced effort—be it documentation, explanations, or naming—should be reviewed by AI. Language models often excel at crafting clearer analogies and selecting more meaningful or intuitive naming conventions than we do.
In short, let LLMs handle the documentation.
— written by ai

Using both I think it comes down to personal preferences. One learns to appreciate their approaches to the complexity of FE dev. I do think ultimately it comes down to support , tooling and job opportunities. I was an advocate for Vue and now unfortunately I recommend React. Native mobile development is too important to disregard.

Nice opinion. I started with Vue2/3 and now I’m learning react. Vue is designed better but react is further in development and more widely supported. Native mobile performance was the deal breaker. Ultimately you’ll find it easier to get a job using react vs vue.
