Unglamorous but useful - appreciated.

A good point overall. It's skin-deep, though. Do you think a catch-all name is useful for something like content? Is it only distasteful on the internet/TV/etc. because of the negative impacts of mass-production and commoditisation, or is the idea itself inherently distasteful?

The project is CSS-DOS.
### Why did you do this/ this is pointless!
I'm aware this has no practical use - like most of this sub - I enjoy the achievement of something that most would find unthinkable, the problem-solving against the odds, venturing into unexplored territory without a map and with the wrong tools. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this project, and that's why I loved doing it. Please read the 'Why' page for more on that.
### How is this possible/ how does it work?
Covered extensively across the following pages:
=> 'How is this possible?' interactive walkthrough, addressing the primary roadblocks and challenges and my solutions to them (I recommend reading this)
=> In-depth walkthrough of the full 300MB source section-by-section, with a full browsable (lazy-loaded) tree-view of the source code and corresponding explanation of the code in each section, the primary hacks/tricks and other notable or interesting points. A full tour for the technical and interested.
### Did you use AI/ is this 'vibe-coded'?
I am a long-time programmer and would absolutely not call it vibe-coded or AI-generated. This project took months of real human sweat. Furthermore, all the copy on the website is hand-edited by me on my keyboard. While I use AI to assist with generating code, I had an exacting grip on the output at all times. My full thoughts on the use of AI are given in-depth here, including a (hopefully) nuanced take on the pros and cons of AI in creative projects like this one.
>> More FAQs are covered on the FAQs page
>> Source code is available on the site, as are my contact details.
>> If this made you smile, please leave a comment, I love to hear it.
>> If you have any questions at all, please ask away - I'm happy to discuss.

That's not true, a lot of human effort went into this. It's not 'spam', slop or vibe-coded. I've amended the FAQs with a significantly longer and clearer take on use of AI in the project.
