I use both daily and Chrome is still faster and more intuitive, which is unfortunate because I'd really like to degoogle.

No, it doesn't. Trackpads always worked fine until "they" reversed the motion. Now it's always a guessing game for the initial scroll. It's terrible, unintuitive, and doesn't make sense. "Natural" is unnatural.

You definitely still should be paying attention to cross traffic, regardless of what the lights indicate. The lights just make it easier by stopping most traffic for you, so you only have to do a quick scan for outliers.

I wish I had time, but I would definitely make some Android apps to sideload onto my phone. They would be very bespoke and probably only relevant to me, but they would be streamlined to my life.

Still is, since none of the side effects of caffeine could be considered "dangerous". (Unless you're taking absurdly large amounts, of course, just like anything else.)
