The performance must also improve because all iDevices on iOS < 16.4 can no longer view GitHub in Safari due to old WebKit. I blame Apple for not allowing Webkit to be updated independently of the iOS firmware.

Thankfully we now have the Reynard Browser (sideload/trollstore) that uses GeckoView so supports more modern web standards.

Same here. Still rocking a DS415+ from 2015. Had to solder a 100ohm resistor to work around the Intel Atom C2000 flaw. Has had a new set of spinning rust in that time too. It's also connected to UPS so will power down if there's an extended outage. Stuck on DSM 7.1 but it does the job.

Jailbreak not required. I use TrollStore/TrollDecrypt but I'm sure there are other methods.

Yes, the motor is running but I'm sure the chain does stop spinning. Surely your finger comes off the throttle when it's not actually cutting, i.e. there must be some up and down action involved even if someone else is positioning the logs?

As an arborist I use both battery and petrol saws professionally. The top handled battery saws do have their place. Perfect when the tree pruning/removal involves many smaller cuts (< 6" or 150mm)

My main reasons for using the battery saws are:

  - quiet – great when you want to start work before 0700 or work on Sundays.
  - no fumes.
  - no need to repeatedly start the saw via pull cord.

The Husqvarna T540i XP is a great little saw. It was released before the comparable Stihl MSA 220 T.

I used to have a Stihl MSA 161 T but it was woefully under powered and not suitable for high volume production use.

Have yet to try the new Stihl MSA 300 which according to Stihl "is the first battery chainsaw that was specially designed for professional work by STIHL"

I can assure you that the chainsaw is not running continuously when you're cutting firewood. Yes, the engine might be running but your finger is not on the throttle hence it's idling.

UTM works much better if you can install the Hypervisor version via TrollStore. Unfortunately you can't do that with M2 iPads since they came with iOS 16.1 from factory and TrollStore only works on iOS 15.0-15.4.1

Luckily I have an M1 iPad Pro with iOS 15.3.1. Managed to install Oracle Database 19c ARM on Oracle Linux Arm 8.8.

For almost 11 years I worked professionally with Delphi (2-6) before retiring from programming completely in 2006. Then in 2019 I'm back modifying some Delphi programs (microservices against Oracle DB) that I wrote over 15 years ago...and using Delphi 6! Of course, the long term plan is to rewrite in .NET but luckily domain knowledge is worth more.
