Beside Adobe terms of use and implemented spyware, their software is convenient enough to justify monopoly on market.

Sure, editing via prompts or personalised automated actions would be ultimate convenience, but we are not here yet. Day by day software like those from Adobe or BlackMagic will be obsolete.

Photoshop can do anything that you mentioned for many years now.

I wish using Darkroom more, but it is terrible in defaults. It's one of those software that is developed by enthusiastic programmers but ignore actual needs of photographers. You don't need tons of demosaic algorithms but none reliable selection tool.

Just look how state works with solving all kind of problems with legislative regulations that, in the end, remove freedom of choice peace by peace. Neither you give responsibility to individuals to learn even from mistakes or take all of it. Of course because of our "safety".

It depends how you define governance. We cannot morally justify system, that by definition supports involuntary money collection, right to oppress of minority when majority decide for or accept electorate without responsibility. It is possible to pretend that it is best system we can have just because we live in society, where state has monopoly to violence, thus unhealthy obedience to authority. And it is cultivated since our childhood in state funded schools as I mention earlier.

I don't believe in best. Point was that democracy by design allows censorship. It's just a matter of majority agreement if implemented to all.

To answer your question: Anything that abandons idea of centralised power with unknown electorate. History many times proves that it cause deaths of millions innocent people. Wars are possible only because idea of giving up personal responsibility for action in name of "safety, right, nation, greater good, you name it...", that centralised authority decide about.

So what's the solution here? Do we forcibly sterilize people? Lock them up if they have children? What's the anti-growth strategy we're actually advocating for?

You don't need to. Fertility rate per woman in wealthy countries decreases every year.

Growth is natural, overconsumption is not.
