When will these companies realize nobody wants to talk to an AI? The reason we begrudgingly pick up the phone is because some problem is not solvable through the website. The last thing we want at that point is an automated system parroting the website back to us, or telling us to go there ourselves

They probably just don't have any humans left in marketing that can write original copy. They've all been fired or has their brains turned to mush from using copilot all day every day

Yeah that's definitely it. So that makes this an arm device with nvidia GPU. It's not the first as you pointed out, but it would be a more consumer shaped example - a laptop that normal people might be able to afford

26Mb sounds perfectly reasonable. Electron apps are usually 100+, and we live in a world where apps download gigabytes of LLMs in the background to do very basic stuff.

I don't think it's a great approach for an actual game. In this case they're demonstrating that the model can create a shared space that's consistent for many players/users, for a short time. But like you say it would probably not endure.

Although it does put me in mind of playing daggerfall years ago, which had randomly generated dungeons that didn't always work. You could sometimes get trapped in architecture, jump from a height with no way to climb back up again. There was a reason Bethesda moved away from that

I have had fun with a $40 Chromebook on which I installed Linux (I can't remember the exact flavor). It great low power portable for writing on the go when I don't want to worry about bringing a more expensive machine around, but sadly the screen cracked and it would have cost more than $40 to fix

Cheap drones taking out an AWACS is a great example of this. The US has only 16 of these and it will cost $700 million to replace, and was taken out by a drone that probably cost less than your car.
