Ask HN: Work on a travel buddy app together?

I'm looking to meet mobile developers and marketers to work with me to take my app to the next level of millions of users. I think I've done a good job of getting it to 50k+ users with thousands of MRR as a solo entrepreneur but it's hard to do everything myself.

My app is called Fairytrail. Our competitor is TripBFF which has 600k+ users since launching 1.5 years ago. Another competitor is Going Solo which has 200k+ downloads and raised $350k.

My background is in product and I've coded cross-platform apps before. I've worked at marketplace startups, Indeed, and Apple.

Well everyone's a stranger until you get to know them. I'm not going to give strangers an anonymized data dump. I'll work with the person on it together. We'll make sure it's all legit. OKCupid, Hinge, and Tinder all analyze data!

Hey folks, I've been working a travel matching and dating app for the last 3 years. We have over 5M+ data points on users and match events. Data include: city (based on IP), current country, desired travel locations, search preferences, matches, gender, age, personality type (based on MBTI), ethnicity, mobility (not remote, semi, fully remote), languages, nationality, and photos of faces.

If you'd like to use the data anonymously for any research topics, please get in touch with me. We're sitting on a lot of data that could be really interesting. I find data scientists super inquisitive and brilliant, so just wanted to offer this opportunity to collaborate.

Same here-- had a call with them but they don't really have much power or decision making abilities. Similar to customer service reps. Mostly script based.

I know that feeling. I was going to write a post about how Apple's review process made us change our how business because we couldn't afford to fight with them even when we are in the right.
