What is difficult with ffmpeg is the sub-language in each argument, which depends on the filter you’re using. I can learn to lookup the manual, but if I have to go to the internet to learn the syntax of the filter, I’m better off googling my usecas.

We use colons for the same reason as in English, but there is a space before colons in French (Microsoft Word inserts it automatically for you in French), and no uppercase after the colon.

There are studies that the larger the bed (at home) and the fancier the reception, the shorter the marriage. But more friends means longer marriage. Basically a barbecue with heaps of mates predicts the longest marriages.
Of course the stats above are the land of correlations-not-causations; larger bed may mean financially more stable therefore more independant and less dependent on the partner’s income, or similar. Still fun ;)

In French, no space before a comma or a period (unless want to explicitly communicate your disdain for computery things or you’re above 60) but we do put a space before : ? !
Example: « Pas de palais : pas de palais ! »
(^Quote from the Asterix movie that will be way more useful to you for making French friends in a bar than saying « I can’t speak French » in French)

Atlassian has always forbidden to talk about the performance of their products in their ToS and in their previous EULA. We all know why, but we don’t talk about it.
One of my customers even raised the issue with them, saying it would cause harm to the company if it came to be known, but they dodgeball’ed it with legal.

I work with beaten husbands and most often, the beating starts because of their inability to produce income for the wife. Most divorces start after a layoff too.
If you believe you have value beyond your ability to produce, it’s nice, many people transform beliefs into truth by excluding all opposite evidence. Meanwhile, keeping the wife is way more correlated with produce than other factors like weight or unmeasurable things (aka: love and attention).

I didn’t give facebook my phone, my email has timed out (and facebook knows it, it deactivated my email) and I forgot my password, more or less intentionally. So the only thing tying me to Facebook is my browser cookie. I have to say, I’m surprised I’ve been able to keep this account open for years in this state, it’s almost as if they really wanted me to stay. But it’s possible to keep a facebook account alive with no accurate contact information.

Problem in Europe is that there’s always a chase against rich people, too. One could not build Apple in France, they would get mugged – at best you get laws against the concentration of money.
Meanwhile you get benefits if your startup is in one of the approved sectors and employing doctorates. You don’t get money if you are just reusing proven tech like Apple does; You have to do research. That means we fund research a lot, while we tax implementation. I guess it’s mostly great for competing countries.
And thus, the economy is mostly guided in Europe, as opposed to innovative.

In Sydney I would always avoid the main CBD street (George St). It’s so noisy with cars, it doesn’t only prevent people from talking, but also thinking... It’s a classical case of 3-lane street with busses going 60kmh, with glass buildings on both sides, so as a pedestrian you’re stuck in a resonnance enclosure.

Be strong.
Be aware that there are thousands of people who empathize with your situation, whether or not you succeeded to find life after separation from the mother, we actually gather together to discuss problems and potential solutions, because — most importantly — we (and I assure you there are many women among us) admire what divorced fathers do for society and we think you are very important to the betterment of this world.
