<p>So to make the APIs stateless (the "ideal" where they don't use server side sessions/etc) we ended up with this. I'm sorry but this is kind of hilarious. Given the salaries paid to the workers at these companies and the hype of the models, I can't believe they all fell to the same flaw.</p>

<p>I think OpenAI will try and continue this elsewhere, which would be pretty worrying. It lets them not give up any equity, just use their name to pump stocks and earn capital.</p>

<p>I don't know why Bloomberg TV are asking where this money comes from for OpenAI. It comes from the AMD stock holders. If the AMD stock pumps then OpenAI gets free money to buy more, without giving up equity. If it doesn't then OpenAI just walk away.</p>

<p>Yes, Cloudflare would be the ideal point for spy agencies to MITM things. It wouldn't surprise me if the funding for it came from them. And since they sit in between, many API audit logs wouldn't even flag intrusions because everything would look like you'd done it.</p>
