Why though?
If only 1% of your user base is accessing your maps through the website, you aren’t going to keep supporting it.

This also skips over with some hand waving that a lot of mobile app uses cases simply can’t be replicated with web sites. Take gps or smart home control as two easy of the top of my head example the author skipped too.
Also the fact that people here would rather have their info stored in the cloud vs local on device is interesting.

This is the most reasonable take I’ve seen in this whole thread. Alcohol doesn’t reduce anxiety either yet tons of people take it as a social lubricant and it probably does more damage to those consuming it than those who consume weed. So shrug? Just be responsible folks and let people blow off steam how they like without judging it like weed is an 8 ball.

Way to completely misunderstand and try in an underhanded way to the dismiss entourage effect.
It’s not smoking 10 strains in a row it’s the fact that you need CBD THC and all the terpenes to get the effects. So the current growing trend of just getting the THC number higher tends to result in plants that don’t actually give people the full spectrum of effects, beneficial or not.
So the correct way to do this would be a full spectrum isolate, which again you coincidently forgot to mention I’m sure.

Yeah some of it is probably related to me primarily using it for swift ui which doesn’t have years of stuff to scrape. But even with those and even telling that ios26 exists it will still at least once a session claim it doesn’t, so it’s not 100%

The problem with this is none of this is production quality. You haven’t done edge case testing for user mistakes, a security audit, or even just maintainability.
Yes opus 4.5 seems great but most of the time it tries to vastly over complicate a solution. Its answer will be 10x harder to maintain and debug than the simpler solution a human would have created by thinking about the constraints of keeping code working.

Have zero stake in this, but I read it as they won’t accept blank checks from those companies, but if those companies want to pay for testing they can work something out. It’s poorly worded but I don’t think they are trying to be sneaky.

I didn’t think I’d see corporate utilities propaganda on hacker news but here are.
The main rebuttal to this is why are non of the public utilities (Sacramento, Santa Clara, and La power) in California trying to get on nem 3.0 if it’s such a profit loss and causing so much “unfairness”? The answer is because it’s made up and the investor utilities want to be able to sell you all the power. They would love to get rid of rooftop solar.

This post is 100% BS. I just checked the instructions for an engine swap on a fiat 500 are about 60% longer than the 500e battery swap. Also the engine weighs around 450 lbs, so its not like you aren't using a hoist or a lift for both any ways.

This looks cool and thoughtfully designed, but I high recommend you add a mobile app so that it’s possible to use it offline. 90% of my 200+ dives have been outside of cell phone coverage.
Also small piece of feedback. The affiliate model being so prominent and with only a lifetime price, I as a consumer don’t have a high level of confidence of this existing for a long time. Especially since it’s web based so you need to keep servers running.

I’ve been super impressed so far with the Govee lights I’ve gotten. The app is pretty easy to use has tons of cool effects, and they have a LAN API (https://app-h5.govee.com/user-manual/wlan-guide) for most of their lights that have WiFi. Don’t have enough time this year to program a custom show but was going to start earlier next year now that I have a couple of these.
The new scene stage thing they just released where you can map your lights and have them all work together is pretty slick too.

It can if you have someone knowledgeable driving it. Otherwise it gives out wrong or outdated information enough that it would quickly cause bugs in production code.
And that’s the thing it can do narrow scopes of a job well but ask it to do the entire task it will often mess up somewhere slightly enough to cause a snowball effect of failures by the time it’s “done”

Yes there is probably no next Google, but you know what there are a lot of. Companies that the googles etc buy because they have gotten to the point where they can’t really develop new products themselves. So yes you many not be able to make the next Google or Microsoft, but there are plenty of success stories to still be had.

I have a SR+ and have done about a dozen trips from Lake Tahoe to San Diego and back about 10 hours in a ICE car and 11.25 in my SR+
You really should never be charging past 70% (the exception being before climbing in sub freezing temps in the sierras) on road trips and instead plan to make much shorter charging stops more often. I’m normally out of a supercharger in 15-20 min if I precondition the battery before charging and it’s about the time my wife needs to stop for a pee break anyways so it’s kinda great to stop. Use the restroom and be ready to go again. If you are charging 45 min you are doing it so wrong.
