This person is hilarious, for non-UK people who are wondering what this is, this is a joke candidate for an MP who is getting a lot of attention because of the political system in the UK not working very well. This YouTube video has sort of started this off recently and made him go viral

I agree, there are too many confounders to draw a conclusion from this, a lot of the things in this study could be just down to random chance.

The CCR5 probably codes for a chemokine, these are a group of proteins which help white blood cells home on to specific locations, I would guess you may get some sort of immune deficiency if a chemokine protein was mutated enough
