River (rivergtm.com) | NYC, on-site | Founding Engineer + Product Engineer | Full-time
River builds voice AI agents for B2B comapnies. Our agent talks with prospects in real time, answers hard questions, and demos the product by actually controlling a browser while it speaks. Every call runs on a sub-second loop: speech, a rendered avatar, several LLMs, and a live browser-use agent, in front of real buyers. $2M pre-seed backed by founders of Ramp, Kalshi, and JumpCloud.
Hiring two roles:
Founding Engineer (5+ yrs): own the live-call pipeline (real-time voice, avatar, browser streaming) and the infra behind it. Looking for strong backend/infra plus real-time experience (WebRTC, voice/video, websockets). Stack: TypeScript, Node, Next.js, Postgres, Redis, LiveKit.
Product Engineer, full-stack (1-3 yrs or exceptional projects): build the services behind live calls, LLM workflows, and the browser-use agent that runs demos. Backend-leaning, TypeScript.
Both on-site in NYC, working directly with the founders. Try the product yourself at rivergtm.com/start
Email me (co-founder/CEO): tarek@rivergtm.com

This is exactly the problem we kept running into. The website exists, the traffic comes, and then it does nothing. A visitor at 11pm has a question and leaves because there's no one to answer it. The "Book a Demo" button assumes they're already sold enough to commit to a 45-minute call with a stranger. Most aren't.
The website being static is the real failure mode, not the absence of one.

Hi HN,
We've created Bridge because of how difficult it was to talk to our users in our other microsaas ventures, Masterspace, Layer, Techmart.
We all know that the secret to “build something people want” (Trademark-YC) is to talk to users. But how?! We’ve tried everything and conversions are terrible.
Email? They are getting spammed all day
Cold-calling? They HATE getting interrupted in their day
Meetings? It’s too time consuming for them
So at Layer we built a feedback form, for our users to effortlessly tell us what’s on their mind: feedback, bugs, questions, … and it worked
We heard from them, iterated, and finally built something people loved
We decided to spin this off into an SDK and enable other creators to effortlessly hear from their users; Bridge: Users ^ Creators - Got it? ;)
The feedback form is the first piece of the puzzle. We want to hear from you what would you like to see next: Other forms and Surveys? AI analysis?
Let’s use Bridge on Bridge and hear what you guys want, before building anything else
It took us 3 years and 4 companies to finally learn that.

The usual tech tools at lower prices

So here’s the deal. I’ve been bootstrapping my startup and realised the sh*t ton that we’re spending on saas. You know the drill in this game, minimize overhead and maximise productivity, usually with tools. We use 28 SaaS tools today – apparently the average is 89, according to Okta - at a range of $9-$600 monthly; it adds up fast!!
That’s when it hit me! What if there was a Costco, but for tech tools?? Even software sellers would win, by acquiring customers at a lower CAC -- a no brainer for both buyers and sellers. So the concept is simple, a member store where you could buy all of your usual tech tools but at lower prices; Techmart.
I’ve built with my brother for the past 2 weeks and we’re now launching it to the world to see if we’re just crazy or this is for real. I’m curious, are we missing something or is it an untapped goldmine waiting to be discovered? Other people need this too? I'm ready to hear the harsh truth.

Hi everyone,
we're a small team passionate about making research more efficient. We decided to develop Layer after we found ourselves buried in tabs and documents during university projects. We craved a tool that could streamline the gathering of insights.
Hence, Layer was born. It’s our attempt to take the grunt work out of research with AI. Whether it’s academic research or market analysis, we believe Layer can make the process less tedious.
We would love to know your thoughts, and if you have faced similar issues, how you tackled them. Your feedback could help us shape Layer into a more useful tool for everyone!

Share ideas contextually.

We are Tarek and Sam, co-founders of Layer, a web annotation tool that enables users to seamlessly share contextual and visual information with their team.
During the development of our previous company, we faced many challenges while trying to effectively work together in a remote setting. We believe this is due to communication apps functioning at the wrong layer of abstraction. Today communication either happens in apps outside of our workspace like slack or in individual productivity apps like figma, notion, etc. which we believe at the wrong layer of abstraction. Our goal is to introduce native collaboration to all websites and web apps, transforming your browser into a multiplayer environment for your team; starting with annotations.
We are excited to revive web annotations, which have a long history dating back to the early days of the web with Tim Berners-Lee (inventor of the World Wide Web), as well as a feature in the world's first widely distributed web browser, Mosaic, which was co-founded by Marc Andreessen. He famously called it the "Big Missing Feature" when he invested in Genius.
Our mission with Layer is to offer a fast, user-friendly, and intuitive tool that seamlessly integrates into your daily workflow and invites your collaborators to join you directly where you accomplish tasks. With Layer, you can annotate any web page, including documents and images, right in your browser.
We are committed to creating a better of sharing information on the web and shaping the future of browser-based collaboration!
Our ask: We would love for you to try Layer, that is now live, and give us your feedback.
Tarek & Sam
