This is awesome and inspiring. I am almost always setup Linux as a server (command line only). Unless until I have need to have native gui. If needed ‘sshd’ to use from other machines.

Here are some more recommendations (not my repos): 1. helix-editor (rust based lightweight and fast) 2. Starship.sh (command line) 3. Nerd fonts (not sure how It will work only used with remote systems) 4. Zellij (cause it’s rust based not strong argument here) 5. Biased for ‘zsh’ too

I understand the need for age verification. And better way to do this is have all device way to communicate the age set by parents to websites.

This is just one of the way. “The Anxious Generation”- Jonathan Haidt put it across. Rey well. It’s import at this day and age to check age online.

Banning VPN is not the way.

Even ChargePoint app does not work with vpn on I am baffled.

If it’s same or competing field likely not. Your contract should be covering that for company.

How is this legal. Unless it’s trained excluding *all* open source code it’s not legal.

Also, using api and docs itself though not illegal seems defeat the purpose.

Also, it’s not right how creator says “pesky credits to creator”.

Just build your own then. Credit is the least thing everyone using should do.

Agree. Also they say it’s not personally identifiable if they know everything about you but associates it as anonymously. Basically renaming you to random artifact. Fees La like major loophole. That’s why I don’t like chrome.

Saying that I think I am already hooked on free and/or easy to search etc etc BS. Basically take my data for convenience and some advanced tech. Honestly feels like addiction.

Duckduckgo browser is highly rated than Firefox in Apple Store. Has anyone tried it? Is it really better than Firefox?

Unfortunately apply doesn’t allow ublock in Firefox like android.

I moved from Chrome to Firefox for this.

And found out Firefox is much better browser than Chrome anyway. Moved due to post here as well. Can’t find the post easily to link here for credit.

You can self host too if you like. Not all features as Notion but comes very close. Seems more private too compared to Notion.

I am also looking for more private and secure Notion alternatives. My company doesn’t allow using Notion.

I like templates, tasks, scrum etc. which I use for personal use. But I am reluctant on saving any personal information in it.

What @tkcranny said. They are better usability now and more sensible defaults. I also find them marginally faster.

I also using them as way of supporting them. Tmux is great and I have used for years. Zellij is not there yet but does some things better than tmux too.

I want #3 be able to connect NVIDIA GPU with Apple Silicon and run CUDA. Take advantage of apple silicon + unified memory + GPU + CUDA with PyTorch, JAX or TensorFlow.

Haven’t really explored MLX so can’t speak about it.
