<p>Hello! I used an LLM to extract structured data from each comment on the “Ask HN: Who is Hiring? (January 2024)” post, available at: <a href="https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38842977">https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38842977</a>. This created a dataset of 400+ jobs with data such as title, company name, location, is job remote, salary data, and the URL/email to contact. For the UI, a NextJS static site was created to filter and view the structured data.</p>

<p>I've worked on CQRS / ES microservices at scale and have seen how successful they can be at reliability, scalability and performance.<p>I don't think people are qualified to reject this pattern unless they've spent some serious time working in these ecosystems.  It took me a long time with a ton of production experience to evolve my thinking and truly appreciate CQRS/ES.</p>

<p>I’m not really sure they articulated why they had to switch very clearly. They didn’t like managing Mongo. They said they couldn’t use Mongo’s hosted solution BUT they switch to hosted Postgres. Why not just overcome the limitations preventing them from switching to hosted MongoDB?</p>
