Lately I have been working on open maps/db for small/independent political campaigns. I also have been working on automating stuff at my current job for fun (templating, data reuse, quality improvement). I have also built a small personal database for scraping baseball card prices, along with pictures, from eBay and storing all this data (and which card the person has) in a sqlite db. I mostly do this as a hobby, but would like to switch over to programming as I feel like I can do more good, enjoy it more, and feel like there is more opportunities than my current industry.
