I am continuously left speechless by the takes on this platform. It's hard to imagine for me at times that there are people in the same sphere as me who think the way they present on here.

Although they did loosely stick to their vision they also didn't right? I mean this as a company not the extremely subsidized research. They aren't open sourcing anything, they are now for profit, they are advertising, etc.

I wouldn't view them as consistent at anything other then myopicly following the more or less obvious trends required to sustain LLM architectures over the years

It's particularly bad because OAI is a us dept of war contractor engaging in hacking of allied government systems.

Imagine if any of the name brand military contractors were caught wiretapping an ally? Or launching a weapon? Would not look good at all.

I imagine this will be treated without recourse like usual because the entire economy relies on this company and 1 other succeeding at all costs. But, wars have started over less...
