I removed the YT app from my phone because of all the addicting/simulating UX and hooking content. It was eating up my quiet/thinking time, and led to brainfog and brainrot. And then, the blame is being put on me as the user who has self control issues. I found that very twisted. Some responsiblity is mine, sure. But having an army of PMs and engineers whose only job is to keep users on the platform, longer and more "engaged", is a loosing battle for one person to fight.
Maybe the app can be given a retry if they have gotten away from the hooking/baiting at the product level.
IG/Tiktok already exist out there and I stay away from them. YT was a platform for me to learn and engage deeply. Shorts just ruined that experience for me.

Built this satirical tool.
Borderline AI slop, but still found myself chuckling at the output, thought I would share with the community.
Tools like lovable have come a long way.
This silly website has a full backend, AI Integration with Gemini-3-flash, and pulls in actual data.
All with just 3-4 prompts, and the free daily limit on the platform.

(September 2025)"

I am working on PicPickr.
It is a desktop app built with Electron and React. I built to help newlywed couples to quickly sort thousands of wedding photos with a Tinder style swipe UI. It is offline first, fully private, and offers one click export of your selected pictures.
I started building it earlier this year after going through my own wedding photo experience and realizing how overwhelming it can be. I saw my wife dragging and dropping photos from one folder to other and thought there has to be a better way for non-photographer folks.
Right now, I have a working prototype, a landing page live, and I am testing distribution and feedback from early users.
https://picpickr.com

Lots of very cool stuff already shared here by other folks.
I am building a simple app to help select/sort/cull photos easier on desktop. Born from my own need to learn/tinker/solve my own problem.

Saw the whole Builder.ai fallout and thought...isn’t every tech company basically run by Indians in the background?
So I made this site to find out the real truth. Type in any company, and it’ll tell you if it is just Indians.
Spoiler: Microsoft, Google, Adobe… all “yes.”
Don’t take it too seriously...a bag of salt (if not more) is recommended.
Built using daily free limits on lovable.dev

This is great, thanks for putting this together.
Haven't followed it through yet, but does this model run successfully on an iPhone?
My 9 year old ran a Qwen 0.6B model using ollama quite well, anything else was too slow to offer a good UX.

This is effing great...thanks for sharing your experience.
I was just wondering how to give my edits back to in-browser tools like Claude or ChatGPT, but the idea of repo mix is great, will try!
Although I have been flying bit with copilot in vscode, so right now I have essentially two AI, one for larger changes (in the browser), and then minor code fixes (in vscode).
