That is not true. Apple claims this for PR purposes, but Marcan and Lina said on stream that the changes are not that big at all - Apple does not completely change their architecture ever. There may be bigger changes on the GPU side, but that does not affect the base upbringing (earlier Asahi versions did not have any GPU support at all, only software rendering) - also that would be work for Alyssa, not for Hector.

No you have to install native. Also Parallels is way better than VMware, if you want good 3D performance inside a Windows/Linux/MacOS VM on MacOS.

And here is me, who is running a Pi1 in my cellar for 10 years straight, which logs all my temperature sensors over 433Mhz + triggers my door openers via physical relay over WIFI, without doing anything special. After some years I only connected it to a UPS, after the sdcard filesystem died after some power outages....

Of course Mister uses emulation - there are only few chips in older arcade boards that truly can be simulated in FPGA with circuit-accuracy.

The Mister SNES core has less accuracy like the software emulator bsnes, not all game work or there a bugs - they still "emulate" the hardware how they interpret it.

FPGA is just a different way of "hardware emulation" instead of traditional "software emulators".

The only real advantage of FPGA compared to software is the improved latency.

I am a bit surprised, after reading the article I thought the author would be a junior with 5 years or less experience. With 30+ years of experience the job hunting should be easier, just call some people you know...
