I could see the Neo as a viable option for teenage students. The high school I attended distributed a Chromebook to each student and hardware faults were far more common than student inflicted damage. Low build quality in everything from the hinges to the logic boards. Most students feared seeking a replacement device when theirs would break without having done anything wrong. A device with higher build quality and software longevity has the potential to save these institutions a reasonable sum of money in the long run.
Younger students on the other hand, Chromebooks remain the way to go. Most of the time, kids'll win in a race between their destructive tendencies and crappy hardware giving out.

I've found it somewhat kludgy to use most apps in their mobile web version, which was for me a benefit more than a curse. The friction in using Instagram on the web was just enough to stop me from doomscrolling, without obstructing all access to seeing what is happening with the people I care about.

It’s possible they meant 1 million frames from scans.

Interestingly, Pokemon GO only prompts players to scan a subset of the Points of Interest on the game map. Players can manually choose to scan any POI, but with no incentive for those scans I'm sure it almost never happens.
> Today we have 10 million scanned locations around the world, and over 1 million of those are activated and available for use with our VPS service.
This 1 in 10 figure is about accurate, both from experience as a player and from perusing the mentioned Visual Positioning System service. Most POI never get enough scan data to 'activate'.
The data from POI that are able to activate can be accessed with a free account on Niantic Lightship [1], and has been available for a while.
I'll be curious to see how Niantic plans to fill in the gaps, and gather scan data for the 9 out of 10 POI that aren't designated for scan rewards.
1: https://lightship.dev

Had to choose between a Prusa and a Bambu Labs for a school 3D printer. Bambu never got back to us when we reached out about tax exemption. That on top of their proprietary aspects sealed the deal for me.
Prusa MK4+MMU3 has been more than satisfactory, even with the abuse of high schoolers and their optimistic print aspirations.

If you want to know when your email is sold or shared, there are several strategies to know who the culprit is. Plus addressing/subaddressing is the practice I hear about the most often, and how I keep track of email use.
Do you care about tracking your email? And do you use plus addressing or do something else?

I was disappointed to discover that https://haveibeenpwned.com does not report an email as pwned if it is subaddressed/plus addressed. myemail@gmail.com is reported as still safe, but myemail+archive@gmail.com is pwned. I wonder if my email has been leaked by any other websites without me knowing.

I'll be curious about what details emerge concerning connections between the hand-held radios and the pagers. Any overlap in the manufacturers? Were the radios new/recently replaced like the pagers? How was the explosive triggered?
