You mean all of that running all the time is 70gb?

I tried freecad + blender with 8 mil sculpt model + prusaslicer, but that was only 11gb, so I added pycharm + steam and cyberpunk 2099 and that was 19gb.

In my country its based on emissions, 1.6l 4 cyl 140g/km co2 is ~150e, 3 litre V6 300g/km ~500e.

People who buy gold are strangely careless, I have workmate who has bought gold with his savings and probably everyone who has spend more than 5 minutes in his presence knows about it.

Co-worker was talking about how he tried to make invitation card with chatgpt, just a picture of his house and text and AI failed to do it. It said he didn't have copyright to the picture and used another random pic, layout was wrong etc. Then younger co-worker gave tips how to do it, what tools to use and offered to make it with his better AI program.

What could be done in few minutes with a free program is now multiple hours with billion dollar AI tools and you have less control what the end result is.

Unless you buy kit, you don't really have to tinker with prusa (I have MK4S), it just seems to work.

If you have an artist, can't you just talk to her about what you want and then she makes the model and all the rest of it? I don't really understand what you gain if you pay for LLM, make model with it and then give it to artist.

I have Creality Ender3 v3 and Prusa mk4s and they are not the same, you can get them to produce same quality, but ender requires more tinkering and I have had more failed prints.

Creality software is awful, you get no firmware updates for a year and then you get 4 on same day, like do they even test before release? Slicer is also buggy and default settings seem to be max everything, so its loud and fast and has print quality issues.

When I was building the prusa kit, I kept thinking that this is how you should make a product, the machine feels well thought out and documentation is great. Of course prusa is 3x the cost of ender.

Code review seem unnecessary, since nobody cares how you made something as long as it is correct. (Measure model, measure finished part) I sometimes modify models in mastercam when designer is away.

Technical drawing comes with list of changes and more important projects have approval processes.

I tried build123d with ocp vscode standalone and it seems interesting, but edit->run script->check browser-workflow feels annoyingly slow.

Maybe I'll try blender addon tomorrow.

I have co-worker like this, he had minimal insurance, until he crashed his car and lost like 15k, doesn't need insurance for his cat until 2k vet bill, doesn't need doctors, until he gets sick..

You think he would learn at some point, but no.

Why is it not good? Higher trim levels give you all wheel drive, offroad tuned suspension and bigger wheels, but not everyone wants or needs those options.

I'm wondering why you need LLM to show you how to use variables in shell scripts when you apparently make shell scripts everyday.

It's like if you use english everyday, but don't bother to learn the language because you have google translate (and now AI).
