Antirez’s Deepseek 4 Flash implementation that can run on MacBooks also was a revelation. It runs decently on M5 Max 128GB and it’s pointing out other bottlenecks like prefill speed which will improve.

Have you looked into VibeTunnel? I got the terminal working in my browser and it runs on my computer. I can access it on my phone since we’re on the same Tailscale network. I use Ghostty-Web and tried to switch to Wterm but it didn’t work. I think it’s because Ghostty-Web renders a canvas and wterm normal div tags.

>> If someone expects to be compensated for their work they should be upfront about it.
Definitely and the Alacritty devs have never asked for anything in return for using their software and code. It's mainly others in the community looking at a commercial company forking and then raising $50M and not even contributing. I've seen huge companies, or their higher ups, Github sponsor developers who are building code they use. It's not unheard of.

So many proprietary companies are built on the back of open-source software. Yes, there is no legal responsibility for Warp to donate to Allacritty. But there is a moral obligation. It's not hard to see open-source maintainers and enthusiasts looking at Warp with skepticism. I didn't know that and will be uninstalling Warp, though I stopped using it months ago.

Their docs say cal.fyi won’t have team features but my self hosted one does. They are a bit hacky. I think they also said they will stop publishing a docker image and that’s what I use to self host. I think I might just build an alternative over the weekend.

I’m building an open source SaaS for every vertical. I’m targeting e-commerce, restaurants, gyms, hotels, grocery stores. I want to leverage these systems to build an interoperable marketplace for each vertical. I launched a Shopify alternative in December and the Toast one is almost ready. Gyms, Hotels, and Grocery stores ones are in the works.
