That is very true and with llms someone who wrote low quality code can now output a whole lot more code. Maybe in better quality, maybe not.

There are more OS than just iOS, depending on the app a lot of shared logic has to be written only once with RN.

I work for a larger german retail chain and agentic shopping is already on the "near future vision". No one thinks this will be used but somehow shareholders love it.

Reading some of these comments is really depressing. Since I can remember we talk about climate change and it's still not in peoples head.

When will it be real? When your home burns down due to a forest fire? When there is no water? When there is no food because everything is too dry? When a storm destroyed your home?

Five years is not much in terms of a furnitures lifespan, i own some pieces my grand grandmother already used that got passed down the generations.

I highly doubt this will happen with ikea furniture. But thats the tradeoff for cheaper and affordable stuff i guess.

In germany you had to do an exam to prove your local knowledge before driving a taxi, this did not apply to uber which pissed the taxi drivers off.

They got rid of the exam in 2021, now you only need an navigation device in the vehicle.

I wonder if the usage of mobile navigation will increase Alzheimers for our generations.

When driving I either now the way or use maps, there is rarely any guesswork or active thinking involved, maybe running is helping but even there I sometimes run routes navigated by watch.

Metas ads are all over the place. Thomas Kehl, one of the founders of "Finanzfluss" (a german site/content creation company about finance) is currently suing meta because scammers keep using his picture.

There really needs to be some harder punishments for this kind of behavior, after all meta profits by selling scammy ads.

At my first job our project manager was colorblind (red-orange/yellow). One day he dropped a photo of his cars dashboard at a red light with an orange "check engine light"

I'm not sure nutri score is helpfull, most people don't understand how it even works and whats actually being compared for the rating.
