Actually, with Trump losing support in his own base, it's him they'll soon throw under the bus. I predict that Vance will run in 2028, by pretending that he was always against this war. Which is obviously a lie, but Republicans are used to that anyway.

Very much agree. This reminded me of Project Cybersyn [1], an attempt by socialist Chile to build a central heavily-computerized room that would summarize their entire economy to a few men literally pushing the buttons. Complete with 70s aesthetics and Star Trek TOS feel.

I think "Because (the dev) prefers it that way" is a satisfactory answer. Often, these small languages don't aim to be used in production and become the next big thing. They're made for fun and exploration's sake.

Something similar could be said of a the brain? Bundles of inputs come in, bundle of output comes out. It only exists while information is being processed. A brain cut from its body and frozen exists in a similar state to an LLM in ROM.

I really don't understand what's wrong with asking journalists to do their damn jobs and spend even a tiny amount of time checking the validity of what the people they're quoting are saying. Don't remove their statement, just point at the various potential ways they're misleading/wrong.

What exactly do you disagree with here? The statement is not very substantive and a bit simplistic, but it's not exactly wrong either. Inequalities are rising, and the system is biased in favor of the owning class. The environment is more often than not forgotten about in lawmaking, which will lead to dire consequences down the line.

The vast majority of trans people wish their demographics received much less media attention... The issue is with right-wing bigots who feel it is their life missions to make their lives as miserable as possible, when they just want to be left alone.
