It is amazing and confusing to me, too, everytime again I read something like that, e.g. also for "animals have feelings, empathy" etc... seriously, really?
Ask anybody who has a pet or observed animals in freedom for a longer time! How can you assume the opposite to begin with, please?
And it is also so directly obvious for most, in the end they are us... we just have developed recordable speech and have the best "hands" it seems... we are not too far off from "them".
On-topic: Look at this parrot getting the drop better than most ravers there https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8YwaMitT4F/?igsh=Ym5nNW00MDh... :D

The Berlin scene is partly very touristy, what is also good for the city (and sad to let the clubs go), but please also don't underrate it - there are still so many clubs, you just need to find your more undergroundy experience ;) As a tourist, of course, you are also part of the problem, but also well welcome. Every "hype" is not true and show quickly symptoms, and everything was always better back in time, but there is still a lot of reason for Berlin ;)

Definitely, don't know why not more places are like that. The majority if techno clubs does it.
There is a reason more clubs are also dark etc.. not only to hide the maybe existing wasted faces, but also to completely let go and dissolve in the music, this is very necessary.

I generally agree, but also disagree. The problem with drugs and people is that they usually overdo everything and dont know their limits. Who figures that out can also have their fun 8+ hours even at age, with a limited amount of alcohol(+weed) consumption at a certain constant level ;)
And then there are also that amazing sober ravers who can do 8-12hrs even without any drug.
Shouldn't be underestimated how much some people like the music and their trancy dance therapy. (but yeah, those only also buy water/cola/maté).

That this isn't already covered by some general legislation to avoid one way over reasonable reusable stuff is sad.
That this is not yet banned or supertaxed by specialized law shows the slowness of our regulatory bodies - as designed and good for the bad stuff.
It's a shame, but small tip of the iceberg!

Our crimefighters barely need it, they stay as incompetent as before, but our freedoms and civil rights will suffer, a lot. Even the most conservative ones should be afraid of what they constantly try to enable in face of all the right wing pushes everywhere.. social and even most liberal parties don't hold against it, it is shocking and hilarious at the same time.

It is a matter of getting used to, childhood imprint.
Most Europeans will smell and taste the chlorine immediately, even in a coke in a fast food chain in the US where they mix that tap water in, or even just in ice cubes.
This conditioning works also the other way round. Read often that Americans usually find the tap water in Europe to be not "fresh", because of the missing chlorine.
I don't think there is any self-lying involved. People notice it the first time going and trying, certainly not because they have been subconsciously indoctrinated. Personally strongly confirm!

Sorry if I gave that impression, but it is wrong.
"I feel" indicates that this is a not very certain assumption by me, and "We wouldn't be where we are" meant that I believe this is a contributing factor, not the only reason, I even gave one of many others (unfair distribution) few words later. shrug
