This is a fantastic explanation why I'm learning Rust. After 15 years of working in Python, I'm disgusted by the type hint trend in dynamic languages. Rust is less verbose about data types than the type hinting clown-show everyone is adopting. If I need 278 characters to suggest type hints in a comment the runtime doesn't half way utilize, I'm switching to Rust for everything.
