From what I understand they aren't comfortable with the Anthropic employee being an author at all, not just lead author.

That's apples to oranges then. You should use the same model between both harnesses if you want to evaluate the harnesses individually.

Eh, even when asked specifically to show it's work GPT-4 still frequently makes calculation errors. It's just one of the limitations of current LLMs, and can easily be solved by integration with Wolfram, or even just a basic calculator.

The reason Ontario (and Canada in general) is doing well is because they have a much higher vaccination rate and a healthier population in general. In the US, the high numbers of hospitalization and death are overwhelmingly unvaccinated and/or extremely unhealthy individuals. Also, comparing absolute numbers is disingenuous when the vaccination rate is so high.

The person you linked (Sam Harris) is actually one of the leading voices advocating for spirituality without religion. He wrote about it in his book Waking Up: A Guide to Spirituality Without Religion.

One word: emacs-eclim.

It basically takes the power of eclipse and runs it in a lightweight daemon, then ports most of the features (auto completion, refactoring, automatic imports, etc) directly to emacs.

Emacs itself isn't sexy; the sole reason I use emacs is the power and extensibility offered by emacs lisp. If vim used elisp instead of shudders vimscript, I would use it in a heartbeat.
