Are you aware that fake passports exist right?
Those people are not going into the bank with photocopies of passports, they are creating fake passports for that, all they need from the photocopy is the number to put in the fake one.
And in many countries this days you can create a bank accounts using the bank app and all they ask for is a photo of your ID/Passport, now you dont even have to create a good fake for that.

In Brasil the patent also expired on March 20, and already there are a dozen of generics that have already applied to get approval, but none got it so far.
So Novo Nordisk itself droped the price a LOT in the last weeks, and even after the price drop you can get the first month free at a lower dosage when starting with a higher one.. Like if you got the 5ml prescripted to you would they send firs month of the 2.5ml for free..
Even the propspect of having generics in the market is already making the price drop..

That depend on your needs.. linux can do live update if you need that, usefull on servers..
But atomic versions as more target to desktops or containers where you need to have know working setup and when you upgrade you replace it by newer one..
So you dont update per se... You install the new version in a separated partition and boot into it the next time you restart.. Same with containers, you just destroy it and recreate with the new version..
If the new version fail you boot back to the old original version that is know to be working and have not being replaced..
The ideia is to ensure a known to be working system is always available..

The rational is more or less like this..
And i know i simplifying things A LOT here.. but that is the mentality behind it..
When crude oil price go up then gas station raise their prices because they know next they they buy it will be more expansive and they will need more money to afford it, so they raise their prices prices immediately..
On the other hand, if crude oil prices drop, it means that next time they buy it will be cheaper, but the gas they currently have was expensive, so they need to keep the prices up to recover what they already paid for it..

because the people above are just for the interview.. And they are shared across multiple jobs, so it is not just 1 position..
They apply to multiple jobs at multiple companies..
One team handle interview process to make sure they get the job, once they get the job another set of people handle the actual work.. And then the interview team also handle any instance the person need to be seen or talked to..
Each job pay a few of those guys and the company keep the rest.. If they land enough jobs they can easily pay for all that..

We cannot because the funds cutting DO create Drug resistant strain..
Not directly, but by creating the exact scenario that cause then to be created..
The USAID funds cut will cause patients to have to stop their treatment half way because there are no more money to buy the drugs required to their treatment..
This is the basic recipe to a drug resistant viruses...
When you start a treatment the first to die are the copies of the virus that are susceptible to the drug while the more resistant copies take longer to die..
This is why is so important to keep a treatment even after the symptoms ended, there will still be copies of the virus in your body that are resistant to the drug but not enough copies to cause the disease..
If you stop the treatment half way the copies that are resistant have the opportunity to multiply again, but now the drug will have less effect on it..
Repeat this process enough and you get a strain of the virus that is immune to the drug..
Repeat the process again and again with other drugs and you get a strain that is immune to everything..
With the number of patients affected by USAID cuts means it is practically guaranteed that a drug resistant strain will happen..

this is why we need DoT and DoH everywhere.
If my resolver can connect using DoT or DoH all the way up to the root servers then ISP cannot intercept or poison it..
And making ISP block the IPs is the correct way to approach this problem..

I think it is worse then that..
I believe that Jack really wanted to have Bluesky develop a protocol they could later migrate twitter into, but after Elon took over it was clear to anyone that ATProto at twitter would never happen..
I am not sure who was responsible for it, but someone made a good job making sure Bluesky would be independent from twitter despite their investment.. So after Elon took over twitter then Bluesky had to decide what to do and ended up becoming its own independent thing..
And since using twitter to bootstrap the ATProto network was no longer happening, they also needed someone to do it instead and deploying their own instances was the logical next step..
So if anything Jack is partially responsible for what Bluesky became since as far as i can remember he supported Elon from the start..
And that is basically what one of the devs said in response to Jack BS claims..
https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:ragtjsm2j2vknwkz3zp4oxrd/po...

basically every adblock on iphone does this, usually as part of a premium paid upgrade..
iOS unfortunately does not have a way for those apps to hijack the OS level DNS... so they fake a VPN to configure thenselves as the VPN DNS server to allow then to capture all the local DNS traffic..
they do this because it is, as far as i know, their only option to do ad blocking for the whole device instead of just for safari..

Dont know about that..
I do see MS buying it but keeping it as an independent foundation and letting other join to vote and help steer development... I could see Google itself doing this to chromium to avoid loose chrome..
Apple is more unlikely since they do not use Chromiun or Blink for Safari, but give that Blink is a fork of WebKit that is what Apple use in Safari i would not say chances are zero..
