A popular MMORPG went through a period of not enforcing rampant botting, gold farming, and similar activities which provided a substantial boost to their user numbers. A short time after the acquisition, they announced major initiatives to combat botting, bringing the user count back down.
IANAL, but couldn't this be fraud?

The quote isn't corroborated by the report.
Ohio and Utah were overcounted, Illinois was undercounted, and the remaining 37 states plus DC had no statistically significant error either way. Some of the significant results are also marginal: Delaware's estimate of 5.45% has a standard error of 2.82, so the 90% confidence interval barely clears zero.

AWS has had this reputation for over a decade. Every former AWS (including poached not fired) has relayed to me a verson of this.
Every once in a while (~1:12) you get one that sounds like a Mormon missionary praising how its not that way and AWS is perfect.

> but that are eminently employable
This is what always stood out to me. Founders talk about the risks they take as their major legitimizing force. But what risk? They’re the types who can (mostly) skip an interview and go direct into a six figure job - because of the sales and founder networks they develop.
Startup founders with no risk doesnt sound like a recipe for great companies.
