Yesss. Gnome also does this with its file manager. Worst design ever. Second to only S0 sleep. I use Pcmanfm in all my gnome installations to have sane file navigation.

OP did an excellent job of explaining a lot of concepts and under the hood details. It's amazing given OP is 16.
OPs sentiments are very much true.
For example, there will never be a feature complete alternative to Chromium/WebKit/Gecko.
But there are movements to move software to a smaller stack, like the Gemini protocol for example.
People are realising how brittle and inefficient (in terms of runtime computer resource usage and human resource usage in maintaining them) modern complex software are.
We hope to see things get better.
Thanks OP for the article

I posted this on r/bangalore. It got removed once it started getting popular.
https://honest-society-reviews.super.site
I made this website to share honest society reviews for bangalore.
I was fed up with people asking 70k rent for shitty apartments with noise issues and privacy issues.
People will accept the rent without knowing these and will get stuck there. This also pushes the rent high for other people.
Please fill the form below if you have encountered any such apartments.
https://forms.gle/yccNkgkY3819G6AD7
See here for how brokers are an oligopoly and how they are manipulating the market:
https://honest-society-reviews.super.site/how-brokers-inflat...
Please share for reach.
FAQ:
Q: How will you identify fake reviews provided by RWA?
A: This is more of a complaints site than a positive review site.
You'll get the postive reviews from everywhere. Google Maps, the brokers, the owners.
I'm rejecting reviews listing just the positives.
People don't have a dedicated, easy to search outlet for the complaints. That's what I'm curating here.
Q: Can you also add fields for rent?
A: I'm deliberately not adding it at the moment because they are greatly inflated by the brokers.
See: https://honest-society-reviews.super.site/how-brokers-inflat...
Q: Most people wont review, the only ones who would are those with a vested interest. Reviews are great in theory but flawed in application.
A: Yes. It's a tug of war of vested interests. Currently there's no one to pull from the renters side.
The brokers and the landlords provide all the information. I'm trying to fix that a little bit.
This is not perfect. And I'm just a single person doing this in my free time, manually curating google form responses.
There will be mistakes for sure. But atleast it's something.
Q: There will be no places to live like this. Every society in bangalore has issues.
A: Yes and that's okay. It's just that there's no way to easily find out about them so renters don't have an accurate view of the market.
No place is perfect. You pick the place that's perfect for you.
Noise issues during day time but not night and you go to office every day? No problem you can work with that one.
I'm open to collaboration if you have any ideas pls DM.

If 10 users are being served a live video broadcast stream of 1mbps bitrate by a server, does the server require 10mbps bandwidth or is 1mbps enough?
Since the server is serving exactly same data to multiple clients, does it send multiple copies of same packets with different destination addresses or does it send a single copy of a packet with a list of destination addresses?
If the commonly used protocols doesn't support this, are there any not so widely used options?
