(May 2026)"

I'm slowly but surely working on a first update to my Android app, Tunemark (https://tunemark.app), which I released a while ago. Tunemark lets you add bookmarks to moments in songs so that it is easy to jump back to them. It is really convenient when practicing dancing or music and you need to constantly reset back to specific parts of songs. Unlike most DJ-type apps that could serve similar use cases, Tunemark works with most music apps, including streaming services.
I have new features such as sharing bookmarks and possibly BPM detection planned but also some quality of life changes like better UI scalability for different size screens/split screen use.

I've been practising dancing for a few years now and while practising a choreography I found myself constantly jumping back to certains parts of a song. While there are DJ-type apps available that can be used to add cue points to tracks, those require you to have the song file. Since I couldn't find an app where I could do this with a streaming service, I decided to build one myself.
Tunemark works by reading and controlling the currently playing media from Android's media notification. This allows it to work with most music apps as long as they show the currently playing media notification.
This is my first ever Android application and it has been fun learning some native app development. I have some features planned for future releases such as sharing bookmarks via a link and perhaps a companion app for smart watches.
Hopefully you find this interesting and if you or someone you know could benefit from it, please give it a try or let them know!
I'm happy to answer any question and hear any feedback you have on the app or the product page etc.

This looks really nice! I recently started learning Clojure and picked up Tutkain as my editor plugin. This, however, looks like it would better fit my workflow and I will definitely check it out later!

I'm not able to log in on Android. Clicking "Sign in" opens browser (Firefox Preview in my case) where I get the standard GitHub login flow with 2FA. But after logging in it goes back to app and the Sign in button is still there and nothing happens.

I've been searching for a room in a foreign city since I'm going there for exchange studies. What I've missed is a map that would highlight an area on the map that is within a specified travel time using public transit. Some approximation could be done by picking points on concentric circles and checking travel times for those places, I imagine. Given that Google Maps provides an API for public transit directions, I haven't checked.

I'm using Opbeat everyday at work and it is a very nice platform. But since there seems to be an Opbeat employee here I thought I would write down a couple of suggestions.
1) Please add the ability to search for errors. Having to scroll through the pages when finding some old error is quite annoying. Or trying to find all errors with a specific exception.
2) More notification settings in the Android app. I would like to be able to change the notification sound and disable vibration. Right now I have worked around this by disabling notifications in the app and assigning label in Gmail to Opbeat email notifications and setting custom notification settings for this label.
3) It would be great to see the "Misc." and "Extra" tabs in addition to the stacktrace in the Android app. We include some useful information about the errors in the extra section and it would be helpful to take a look at them right in the app.

For these who don't know: Kalevala is the name of the Finnish epic about the origin of the world. As a Finn, I'm interested in why you chose Kalevala as the theme of your project?
