> Are there other languages with Martian time in their standard library?
Not that I know of, no. Hare's concept of timescales is quite unique in itself already.
> Or maybe with at least some solid third-party implementations?
There exist a few libraries and programs out there, but I'm not familiar with all of them.
For simple Martian time (Javascript):
https://marsclock.com/
NASA has their graphical "Mars24 Sunclock" (Java):
https://www.giss.nasa.gov/tools/mars24/
As for chronologies, I don't know any other implementations of the Martian Business Calendar. There are implementations of the Darian calendar out there.

I contributed to this project for this reason. Hare exists as itself and for a purpose. The libre ethos, the simplicity, the design, with people and the future in mind. The dilligence in having a standard, the commitment to supporting libre platforms, and not bending knees to non-free ones just because they are the norm; e.g. not being afraid to dream. Not adopting whatever hype-train technology bandwagon or corporate interest. Hare stands out as something special.

A single ':' is used for other things, like casting types.

    let x: int = 0;

It's so that the compiler can distinguish between those two, and likely some other areas too.

If you are a reader looking for a viable alternative to Twitter and problematic social media in general, take a look at the Fediverse.
I wrote an article explaining the Fediverse, but really you can just search online for it.
https://torresjrjr.com/archive/2020-07-19-guide-to-the-fediv...
https://fediverse.network
It's decentralised and federated, and works on sane, standard protocols. It essentially rips out the problems caused by massive centralisation. I'm a big advocate for it, and for good reason. I believe we're currently collectively around 3 million users and growing, so it's definitely not a niche. It's not a magic wand of a solution, but it delivers where it matters the most.

It's kinda suckless, and I love it.
I think they made some good decisions. All types are strings and left to the application to parse and document. Excellent.
And, I think the desicion for the angle-bracket-multiline syntax was great because I think one could create a parser with awk/grep. Simple.

Take a moment to learn about the Fediverse and you'll be asking yourself why you didn't know about this before. Don't complain, act for Internet freedom.

In light of the recent Twitter hacking, many are reconsidering the potential and dangerous consequences that a proprietary, centralised, and ultimately fragile platform can result in. Yet people stay because there is seemingly no alternative. Twitter would love to keep it that way.
The Fediverse isn't a platform, or service, or company. It's an interconnected and decentralised network. And it's growing. You've likely heard little or none about it, precisely because it's not a product, nor is there a reason (ads & data hoarding) to lure you in. Its freedom, and its your own prerogative to learn, join, express, and thrive freely.
So take a chance. Be the future. Join the Fediverse!

Federated (decentralised) video hosting: PeerTube.
https://joinpeertube.com
- Don't use a company's service, then complain.
- Use a federated server, and share videos freely.
- Most importantly, learn what the Fediverse is.
Forget BitTube, Daily Motion, LBRY, or whatever other proprietary (company owned) video hosting site. The reason you've never heard of PeerTube is because it's a a community project who don't advertise their software, because it's not a product. It's free (as in cost and freedom) for anyone to to use and it works.
> But I won't get nearly enough views
Then stay on YouTube. If you value your freedom, you'll make the decision and the views will come. Be the change.
