Not that I know of, no. Hare's concept of timescales is quite unique in itself already.

There exist a few libraries and programs out there, but I'm not familiar with all of them.

As for chronologies, I don't know any other implementations of the Martian Business Calendar. There are implementations of the Darian calendar out there.

I contributed to this project for this reason. Hare exists as itself and for a purpose. The libre ethos, the simplicity, the design, with people and the future in mind. The dilligence in having a standard, the commitment to supporting libre platforms, and not bending knees to non-free ones just because they are the norm; e.g. not being afraid to dream. Not adopting whatever hype-train technology bandwagon or corporate interest. Hare stands out as something special.

True, but :: is probably more readable than # or \ Design a language, and you'll understand that there's always trade-offs.

A single ':' is used for other things, like casting types.

    let x: int = 0;

It's so that the compiler can distinguish between those two, and likely some other areas too.

It's decentralised and federated, and works on sane, standard protocols. It essentially rips out the problems caused by massive centralisation. I'm a big advocate for it, and for good reason. I believe we're currently collectively around 3 million users and growing, so it's definitely not a niche. It's not a magic wand of a solution, but it delivers where it matters the most.

It's kinda suckless, and I love it.

I think they made some good decisions. All types are strings and left to the application to parse and document. Excellent.

And, I think the desicion for the angle-bracket-multiline syntax was great because I think one could create a parser with awk/grep. Simple.

I'm so sorry about being forward but why the hell don't the vim keys (hjkl) smooth scroll? Its so frustrating. Is there an option to set it as so? Using the arrow keys is so cumbersome.

- Don't use a company's service, then complain.

- Use a federated server, and share videos freely.

- Most importantly, learn what the Fediverse is.

Forget BitTube, Daily Motion, LBRY, or whatever other proprietary (company owned) video hosting site. The reason you've never heard of PeerTube is because it's a a community project who don't advertise their software, because it's not a product. It's free (as in cost and freedom) for anyone to to use and it works.
