Is it really that surprising? The public would have voted to have the contract awarded to that company, but our benevolent leaders are usually sway by personal gain. This type of news is usually not widely and publicly discussed in the media as they are more concerned about much more trivial things or stocking fear and rage in the public.

After years of using alternative to chrome (Firefox, Chromium, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Edge, etc ...) I have stopped fighting the choice of IT for installing and setting Chrome as the default browser on a Mac. I still use Firefox when I can and religiously reroute URLs to it where possible, but this is beating me down and I would rather spend time playing with LLMs rather than continue this struggle.

Off the top of my head:

- The _block_ system where you could navigate up and down without scrolling the whole buffer rigidly - The tabbing system that actually works and doesn't feel clunky - The command prediction - The workflows (but that's now pretty much dead unless you really do not use AI)

Long overdue - I was all in a few years ago with Warp, but after the last couple of years of not addressing this need, I have moved on from Warp. I now DO NOT see the need to embed AI into the terminal when you can have all sorts of TUI doing the same job.

I don't know what to think about that, it feels the actual author of this is trying to get some attention in a crowded market. This is just going to bring more awareness of what LLM are to the general public. And I'd bet the actress is going to be asked about it at some point.

I am in a regular company that has fortunately a tech department for in-house software and this is the absolute opposite; we're currently trying to convince leadership that using tokens is part of the game for LLM adoption.

good catch. Makes me wonder if we could feed the Agent with a repository of known vulnerability and security best practices to check against and get ride of most deps. Just ask _outloud_ so to speak.
