Software engineer is the new yuppy. I reckon the majority of users here work for either 'evil' companies or frankly useless ones which is just as bad IMO. Meanwhile we have historical happenings between social, environmental, and health issues that they could contribute to but otherwise take fat paychecks and bury their heads in the sand.

Schizoid can be a good partner if compatible. They need solitude though otherwise are significantly more stable than most.

A diagnosis proper would require brain mapping. My theory is there is a missing piece of circuitry like a bridge in the reward network of the brain.

Even that sounds harsh. The Faang engineers are sociopaths chasing top dollar. The engineers at spacex are the other side of the coin. HN berating people for not getting their worth laughable seeing how a mediocre engineer still makes more than 80 percent of the population.

My understanding is, for an American in a EU country, is they can go and work remotely there for the 90 days as long as they are not conducting business in said country. This means face to face business meetings with clients. When you log in remotely to your job based in the USA and not interacting with people directly during the tourist stay, you're in the clear... I think?
