I've noticed over the years whenever there's an AWS outage, Amazon.com doesn't seem to be impacted. My assumption is that they'd be one of the first to go down. Any idea why?

The interaction is really great and I love the premise. But it seems to be missing a huge amount of information from pre-1000BC that gives the impression nothing happened/there are no people there.

I can't speak to international arrivals (though I can to the rest of the airport, it's gorgeous), but while PDX is international it only has 5 direct international flights other than Canada. Hardly going to be the focus of the airport.

Tomatoes like a fairly neutral ph of ~6.5. A better example is blueberries with mid-4’s.

Congrats on the launch. As someone who has dealt with early lead-gen at multiple startups, I'd say it's 50% finding the right company and 50% finding the right person at that company. Especially when there isn't already a network connection.

Whenever I read about why Agile is bad and then the inevitable comments about how "no, Agile is good, it's just [company/business people/project managers/etc.] implemented it wrong," I'm struck with the similarity of "no, Communism isn't bad it's just that no one has really done it yet."

This is fun! In trying to find an edge with generating based on a word, from what I can tell it also has a border of not-bombs which gives the player an edge they wouldn't have in classic minesweeper.

It's not a fallacy if one of the complaints is "routine practice in American politics." It's directly pointing out that it isn't routine by accident, it's routine by design from the beginning.

Historically this is just how it works. You want law x passed and I'm ambivalent about it, I want law y passed and you're ambivalent about it. We both need each other to pass either of them, so we agree to pass both as part of a larger law. This isn't a new thing and has been happening since the 1800s. As early as the decision to make DC the capital we've traded goals through compromise.

The process does get abused and I get frustration over those instance. For this one in particular, there are thematic similarities that can reasonably fall under "national security concerns".

It doesn’t have to be owned by a US company, it just needs to not be owned by a CCP backed entity.

Why would it be to a conglomerate? It’s more likely that existing US investors raise extra money to just buy it and run it locally. Existing antitrust environment would make it extremely unlikely an existing consumer tech co will be allowed to buy it and non-consumer wouldn’t make sense.
