It seems to me this is a blocker to use if google can restrict sideloading like this. Its not going to end with just get people requiring to register their app with an identity. Wont they be able to put presser on f-droid devs to lock out software they consider a threat to some business model?

There using this framing to get the public used to the idea that LLMS can do all of this on there own without direct instruction. So criminals can hide there behavior behind agents.

Im on PopOS and I had one boot problem where I had to pop in a ubuntu flash drive to run boot repair on, but that was like 3 years ago. There are definitely issues that come up sometimes when I upgrade to a new kernel version but it mundane stuff like my printer wont scan duplex. But now AI just helps me fix that stuff I don't spend too much time on it.

Maybe I am missing the point of the article, but it seems to me that there's always an intender. Maybe the intender created something that doesnt have intent, but there is always someone behind the scenes that is creates the intent behind the creation that lacks it.

I'll also say that for someone that doesnt believe in god, Corey sure has a good sense of right and wrong. Not that you need to believe in god to live a moral life.

This isnt romanticizing premodern world. Modern doesn't equal better, but I understand the knee jerk reaction to calling out the serious problems with our current society that nobody wants to face.

The moral of the story is that things, when they are coveted, can destroy our humanity. I feel like we are destroying ourselves with modernity and to bring that to a culture like this is dangerous.

I disagree. Having a design doc would have saved me some time having to rewrite certain parts of a CRM system I am working on in Obsidian[0]. Not having a plan on handling certain aspects up from can make more work.

It will remain this way in slightly differnt shades of colors until there is a systemic change. IM sorry this isn't a one party problem. There are people across the isle that are allowing this to continue.

It wont be adopted because we unconciously need to avoid responsibility of showing up as responsible human beings. Hence western civilization will crash and burn unless we start rethinking the way we operate.
