Re: So if there is no permission to `rm -rf /`, Claude will just get denied and move on.

Until it doesn't and it finds a way to work around the restriction. Lots of stories around about that.

I actually did this with my teenage neighbor. He was learning electric guitar at hours the building had rules against. Hours I was studying throughout because of said building rules.

Whenever he switched his amp on, his landline would ring. Whenever he loudly stomped toward the phone, his landline would stop ringing.

Took three afternoons, but he learned it.

I just want to add that designers are usually bullied by upper management into designing beautiful things that make upper managers look good with their friends. No matter how impractical those beautiful things are.

Edit: Oh, and the "beauty" is in the eye of the managers.

Guys, the cause is the new OS. It wasn't happening 1hr before it started happening with the new OS, it never happened before.

Sorry, I'm basically venting, but I'm sincerely curious to know what you think of this.

In 1998 (97?) I installed Debian 2.0 for the first time, and I had been a Linux user, both at work and for personal purposes, up until 2013. I was so fed up (because I was older) with the hardware issues (external monitors, graphics, drivers) that I switched to Mac and never looked back.

Up until now. I dislike the UI, and I'm frustrated by having to wait 15 seconds every time I want to unlock the system after a break. It's starting to feel like old-time Linux all over again.

I can't say I like the server returning portions of HTML that need to match the HTML in the client, but I can see myself trying it in a monorepo and using some templating lib on both sides.

Let's say I'm intrigued and on the fence.

Reminds me of when ~10 years ago with a particular version of Webpack the build would fail if I had one SVG called add.svg so I had to rename it plus.svg

I can relate, and it's especially concerning when it comes to my child ending up in videos (and pictures) by random people.
