If you have a fixed computer or NAS, stop making excuses and install a 10G fiber card in it.

If you have a laptop or TV it probably doesn't need 10G.

Psychedelics lead people to realize "truths"

Some of them are real, like becoming horrified by war. Other times the subjects think they've spoken with God. But I don't think they ever made anyone more pro-war.

Why can't it understand any of those? LLMs understand all kinds of context. That's all they do, actually - map context to to other context. Attention is a context-finding block, and attention is all you need.

Pretraining could be reasonably expected to make it learn that mother/father and son/daughter are inverse relationships and Tom is usually a male name.

AFAIK psychedelics are thought to stimulate neurons into connecting with each other more than they normally do - both temporarily (which explains the short-term sensations) and also permanently (they stimulate neuroplasticity).

Psilocybin is one of those things we don't even know the full effects of because the government had a hysterical fit and completely banned it because people who took it were more likely to oppose the Vietnam War.
