Worse than trump are the tens of millions of Americans willing to vote for someone like him. They will largely still be here after Trump is gone.

I also feel like even if you cannot taste the spice with your mouth, you’ll feel it at the other end. I generally enjoy spicy food. But I’ve found, especially lately, that my mouth can handle more than I’m willing to deal with the next day.

This pattern plays out across so many things conservatives say. It was never about free speech. It was never about being civil after someone was killed. It was never about balancing the budget. Their anti-dei stance was never about fairness. And no it was never about illegal immigration. It’s almost like they lie constantly about their beliefs. To themselves as much as everyone else.

When do Democrats stiff red states? This "hurt your opponents" style of governance comes exclusively from one political party in the US and it's not the Democratic Party. I would almost guarantee as soon as Democrats regain power they will try to shift to "politics as usual" and try to be bipartisan about things.

Mine hasn't. I've been subjected to the lowest common denominator of employable humanity because of cost savings measures from companies. I'd far rather interact with an "LLM" powered support agent than a human who cannot even comprehend the language and is just following a scripted prompt. The LLM has more agency at this point than the human support personnel.

> If you've ever built software, you'll know that regressions are all too common. Especially when AI/ML is involved.
"AI/ML" has delivered far more complete testing criteria than any "QA expert" has. It's absolutely crazy to me the number of people who defend the status quo in software testing when software quality has been on the decline for over a decade. But sure. "AI/ML" is the problem, not shit developers who never considered that angle in the first place.

Congratulations. The Democrats have managed to deliver a fraction of the "freedoms" enjoyed by literally every single other fucking developed nation on earth. The fact that Democrats are willing to pat themselves on the back for legislation passed 16 years ago is incredibly fucking telling to how little Democrats demand of their politicians. And how fucking little Democrats actually deliver.

The choice unfortunately often boils down to choosing between blatant psychopathy or completely useless platitudes. Yes. A vote for Democrats results in less harm. But Democrats are never actually willing to address the problems. Democrats would rather reach across the aisle than actually help people as has been proven out ever since my very first eligible vote for Obama. Some Democrats promise "Hope and Change" but won't bother to fight for it. Many Republicans promise to hurt the people you hate and often try to follow through on it. Both sides aren't the same, but neither side will fix anything.

You're underestimating just how much damage conservative mindsets can do to a state/country/world. From a US perspective, Donald Trump isn't the problem. The tens of millions of American citizens who are willing to vote for someone like Trump in 2024 are a huge fucking problem that will outlive Trump. Even today he has something like an 80% approval rating from conservatives. Some people cheer the concentration camps. And if your only hope is to outvote them, welcome to Nazi Germany.

Festool is on the expensive side and designed for professional use to justify the investment. I had disposable income and hate sanding, so I splurged on the festool sander and dust extractor. Night and day difference from my dewalt sander and trying to follow it with a dust vac. I don't use it often. But I'm more likely to start a project that needs it knowing it's not going to make my hand numb and clog the air with tons of particles.
The other Festool product I picked up is their track saw. Couldn't be happier with the results and the products are really well designed from an ergo/UX standpoint. Though I wouldn't be surprised if you could get just as good of results from a track saw at half the price as long as you use a great blade on it. I like them because they make working much more pleasant than my experience with some other tool brands.
Most of the rest of my tools are Dewalt. I settled on them as they have some of the best "prosumer" power tools in woodworking. Their job site table saw and their planer are some of the best available at their price point. Though I'm regretting buying into the battery system. I've seen times where my Dewalt impact couldn't deal with car bolts that a similar Milwaukee zipped right off. Works fine for woodworking though. I've largely replaced my Dewalt battery operated lawn tools with Ego.

Rush Limbaugh? Tim Poole? Crazy.

We know to some degree how to do it. Education helps. Conservatives are the problem. It's been shown over and over again that the grifters target conservatives because it actually works. Similar campaigns against more liberal targets aren't nearly as successful. Conservatives in the US have spent years sacrificing their bullshit detectors for "fuck the libs" policies and yay team Red rhetoric.
