Not any super user but about three/four months, I'm using my device without any google account. Also not using any G service apps such as mail/yt/maps and of course play store. Instead of play store I found aurora store very helpful. "Very" because of the anonymous login future. But sometimes the store disturbs. Newly added apps on Play store doesn't appears on aurora. Also many applications fails to be installed without showing any reason. Some shitty apps redirect to the play store app (which I'm unable to disable but uninstalled her! Updates) and just doesn't works anything more then redirecting me. So I'm still not a fan of Aurora. But it's going not bad. But sometimes I should browse other sites to get old/delated from Play store apps. Also for mod/adless version of some apps.

I heard of fdriod but what I think it may only serves feature less, low UI/UX optimized apps. So didn't installed it yet. But something should be available where people can find all Play store apps (as aurora supplies) + premium/adsense deleted modified apps (random website) + Open source apps (fdroid)…… this will make android insane

Windows on Mobile Screen

Is it possible to use touch mobile screen as windows laptops output? I know that android can do any stuff easily so asking. I think it’s not a new question to use android touch screen hardware as windows laptop screen output. Maybe a cable needed, and some software configuration. No matter how small it’s looking like. Any insights or ready projects?

Our keyboards are tracking us

While using android, I just use the built-in (should called “forced to use”) google made GBOARD. What I’ve noticed since I use this, whenever there is any privacy oriented browser tab or any field to entry password or pin code, the keyboard UI becomes different– showing a incognito icon on left top. (Presenting themselves so much sincere to users privacy! Hahaha…) And while using gboard on my iOS, whenever I’m going to entry any password or browsing private tab, iPhone automatically switches to default built in iOS keyboard. After noticing this two common incident, I discovered a thing new. Whatever and whenever I type something in gboard (in android especially,) goggle and Facebook like services starts to show me exactly the same thing as advertisement! Which clearly means, Gboard is just collecting everything I types everywhere! To be noted that, I never uses Gboards built in search feature, gif feature. Even no voice typing. Very rarely I use the translate bottom from keyboard. Also all of privacy related options both in gboard settings and google account settings are strictly turned off in my side. I know that all other third party commercial keyboard apps (swift/gramarly…) tracks users typing. And gboard may track to enrich vocabulary and predictions (which will be acceptable in certain limit), But tracking everything for advertisement purposes, ai model training and further supplying to governmental agencies is never acceptable, nor anything ethical. Why I still using gboard on android (one of few ggl services I still use) is because their largest language collection (even with phonetic method!!), and secondly some tiny features such as undo/redo option, clipboard and theme….

What I thinking now is to modify the apk file firstly to stop getting updates and permanently cutting off gboards connection from internet. Is it a easy task to do? Suggest me if there any discontented Gboard version. Also please share thoughts about keyboard tracking.

Bored of AI advertisement. Thinking to stop visiting hacker news just because these LLM projects and updates. There should be an option to users which will exclude AI related things. Even if that going to be done using artificial intelligence in backend, no problem. I’m satisfied!

Is there any way to stop getting AI made video suggestions in YouTube?

While using YouTube app, the feed floods down by videos which are actually AI output. Not just the animation or just audio. There are videos fully made of artificial tools. Missing the old and classic human contents which enrich the mind. Is there any way to get rid off this problem? Anything like algorithms modifier?

After reading lots of comments, I’m now feeling very unique myself. I leave apple notes because that cannot be synced to another windows or android devices. Also cannot be accessible from internet any time. Telegram fixed my problem with private channel feature. I’ve created couple of channels and set suitable name and icon on them then pinned them on my chat list. Also Created a chat group for my channels. Now I just pick the right channel and start typing, date and time are automatically added. Also notes under threads (messages under channels) can be edited any time. From my pc, android, iPhone elsewhere!! Also I can upload images videos or files, unlimited storage! One problem is, there are character limits without telegram premium. So, if the writing became long that will be uploaded in part. Also there are hashtag facilities! After discovering this unique technique I’ve stopped all tools and apps (except microsoftWORD)! But my pen pencils are all time beside me with my notebooks and diary….
