Friends don't let friends use sites like this.

The page consists of ~50% ads, interleaved with the actual content. Most of the links I see are to Audi, some site selling slippers, some "Action RPG game", heating blankets and 20 other random things.

Even if I exclude ads, I see links pointing at executables on this site, for example:

https://content.legacyupdate.net/legacyupdate/LegacyUpdate-1...

Do you want to tell your friend to navigate that page, find the correct link, download it and run it?

I think it's because there are a lot of people writing articles about the benefits of running local models. I think it's fair to say that there are daily threads on HN singing the praises or local inference. I also see people buying new hardware where the main trigger is ability to run local models.

I took a look at the code, it showed the usual tells for slop, hence my question.

Claude is well suited for many things, it does not mean that it never is used to generate slop.

Just read the linked Readme if you don't want to read the code, it's the usual slop.

Here in sweden, personal data such as name, address, income, birth date, personal number, car ownership, etc. is public by design.

I find it interesting how the view on this differs depending on country and what people are used to.

I'll just mention that the site is very hard to read for me (to the degree it's unusable). I know, dark mode is cool, but for me it causes immediate eye strain.

I have read that people with astigmatism will often have an easier time reading light mode. Something like 30% of adults have that issue.

Just wanted to provide the feedback so you're aware.
